Account Deletion

Yomu: Account Deletion

How to delete your Yomu account and data

Yomu (Android package com.firuworks.yomu) stores your data locally on your device. We do not run servers or maintain user accounts on our side.

To delete your account and associated data:

Option 1 — Inside the app (deletes everything immediately)

  1. Open the Yomu app
  2. Go to the Settings tab
  3. If signed in: tap Sign out under your account name
  4. Tap Reset all progress — confirm
  5. (Optional) Uninstall the app from your device

This permanently removes:

  • Your saved learning progress (kana mastery, streak, XP, completed lessons)
  • Your language preference
  • The cached Google profile (name, email, avatar) if you were signed in
  • Your "Remove Ads" purchase token from the device (you can restore the purchase on a new device with the same Google account at any time)

Option 2 — By email

If you cannot open the app, email [your-email@example.com] with subject "Account deletion request — Yomu" and your Google account email. We will:

  • Confirm receipt within 7 days
  • Process the deletion within 30 days
  • Reply when complete

Because Yomu stores data on-device only, an email request asks us to confirm there's nothing on our side. The actual on-device data is deleted only by following Option 1 or uninstalling the app.

What data is kept after deletion?

Nothing on our side — we do not store user data on any server.

Third-party data we cannot delete on your behalf:

  • Google Sign-In data: managed by Google. Revoke access at myaccount.google.com
  • Google Play purchase records: managed by Google Play. Refunds are processed through Google Play's normal flow
  • Google AdMob advertising ID: reset via Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Reset advertising ID

Retention

We do not retain any account data. Deletion is immediate when you follow Option 1.
